In my current role as an Artificial Intelligence R&D Engineer at Megasap Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I have been instrumental in creating and deploying an attendance application based on face recognition, which provides secure access to a database server. Additionally, I have built, trained, and evaluated voice recognition prototypes using Siamese Neural Networks and one-shot learning techniques. This has opened up possibilities for incorporating voice-based authentication into our solutions. My tasks also included the building of high-level attendance reports using SQL queries and the integration of available LLMs into our systems to enhance the user experience by enabling natural language interactions for employee productivity reports. To support the attendance application, I have developed and implemented APIs and backend logic using React JS and Python (Django). I have also integrated face authentication models and C++ logic into Android applications using the Native Development Kit (NDK) to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of face authentication. Prior to my current role, I worked as a Software Engineer and Research Assistant at Mimos Bhd, where I leveraged Java and Elasticsearch to implement algorithms for indexing and searching large textual data. I also contributed to the development of mobile applications for the Government Online Services Portal, improving accessibility and convenience for citizens. During this time, I optimized search APIs to enable nested search queries and collaborated with the Ministry of Home Affairs to design a secure messaging mobile application. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from The National University of Malaysia (UKM), with my research focused on deep learning for Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly representation learning for named-entity disambiguation.
